About Noni

I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend.

Noni Ervin, an author known for her work in various literary genres, hails from the Greater Seattle Area in Washington State. Her book, "Verbatim: Living, Loving, Surviving," reflects her journey as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, friend, and survivor. She finds joy in laughter and cherishes spending quality time with her family, finding solace in her husband, and strength in her children.

 

With a background in business operations and strategic development, Noni extends her expertise to support the growth of both for-profit and nonprofit ventures. In addition to her professional endeavors, she channels her creative energy into writing poetry, prose, and children's books.

 

Noni's contributions to publications such as Mother.ly Magazine, the South Seattle Emerald, and the Killens Review of Arts & Letters highlight her commitment to amplifying voices and stories, particularly within marginalized communities. Her involvement in the African-American Writers' Alliance (AAWA) as a member of the Leadership Council underscores her dedication to fostering literary talent and community engagement.

 

As the Author and Creator of Kinara Park Kids® and the Founder of the Kwanzaa Awards, Noni actively promotes cultural awareness and celebration. She encourages others to embrace the power of storytelling by advocating for daily writing practices.

 

Through her authentic approach to living, loving, and surviving, Noni Ervin inspires others to embrace their narratives and advocate for those who may not have a voice.
